Weather for golf enthusiasts, professionals including greenkeepers. ShareWeather predicts the local weather conditions on your golf course and the actual appearance of the sky and nature, 16 days ahead. While weathermen talk of what is happening in the air, ShareWeather will also calculate and explain the direct effects on your golfing. The complexity of weather is simplified with smart graphics and animations giving great support for both golfers and green-keepers.

The 16 day weather forecast is based on research and professional knowledge. With sophisticated methods merging forecasting models, own calculations, and experience on how weather effects golfing, ShareWeather predicts what matters to you: boll rolling speed, deviation due to wind conditions, grass growth on green and fairway, surface type, humidity, besides the more common weather variables. You can also improve your own weather forecast by submitting additional input on current conditions.
The specially designed variables developed for this app and the capabilities of modern forecasting systems are here merged to create some really unique content:

-16 day weather forecast
-Golf course conditions: water, surface type (wet, dew, dry, ice, frost, etc)
-Ball rolling speed based on a range of parameters such as surface type, grass growth, evaporation, ground temperature, water and dew on ground
-Grass growth rate on green and fairway respectively, in mm per week or day
-Calculated ball deviation (per 100 yards or 100 meters respectively) due to the wind character
and wind conditions on different heights
-The type and shape of clouds on different height levels
-Conventional meteorological parameters describing the state of the air: air temperature, precipitation, pressure, humidity, visibility, wind speed, wind direction, wind gusts, feels like (including wind chill)
-Forecast correction for local altitude

Features:
-Ball animation of boll rolling speed on green
-Animation of the sky with the actual cloud type and shape (play speed adjustable); time steps are also accessed by swiping right or left, or tapping forward/back (3h) or fast forward/back (24h)
-16 day Summary including max and min values (Warmest, Coldest, Rainiest, Windiest, Sunniest, Cloudiest) and a wind summary compass
-Graphics condensing the 16 day forecast in diagrams and curves. Examples: 1) grass growth pictured as up-side-down diagram to reflect the total growth of grass since start; 2) Water on ground (for instance after rain), taking into account the evaporation, run-off speed, humidity, also pictured as an up-side-down diagram showing the amount at a particular time
-Text prognosis (Sky+), large text view (air temperature, feels like, wind) (Air-), full list of conventional meteorological variables in smaller text (Air+), Grass growth rate (mm/day), ball rolling speed (%), ball deviation (yards/meters per 100 yards/meters), surface type, ground temperature, evaporation (Ground+)
-Overlaying Diagram in Sky View. When in 3h mode, the diagram will display a 24h forecast. If the mode is switched to 24h, the coming 4, 7, 10, 14, or 16, days are shown
-The 16 day Diagram View displays all 16 days in a Scrollable Diagram from which a time step can be enlarged; variables are manageable under settings
-Wind arrow length (single time steps) reflect wind speed, while their color imply the temperature trend (blue/red symbolizing cold/warm air masses)
-Alerts illustrated by red triangles are triggered by threshold values, some of which can be managed
-Latest forecast is available offline
-Choosing places from a map
-Searching places
-Fahrenheit/Mph or Celsius/ m/s conversion (settings)

ShareWeather condenses complex weather information to not only a beautiful picture of the sky, air, and the golf course, but some unique and useful information. You will easily be able to study what to expect from the weather conditions and their effects on your golfing, and enjoy yourself, too!
